Join the fun of a fall day in New England at Buell's Apple Orchard. Pick apples, watch cider being made, try a caramel apple, have a donut, take a hay ride, walk through a pumpkin field and much more. For most activities there's no charge, so you can enjoy the full day without spending any money. Apples, other than those you eat at the orchard, may be purchased.
Here are the details:
Meet at St. Mark's parking lot at 10:30 for a 10:45 departure. Rides will be provided for those that need them. We will be returning between 2:00 and 3:30 pm. Departure time is actually up to the driver of each car. Buell’s Orchard is located at 108 Crystal Pond Road, Eastford, CT 860-974-1150 (see directions below).
Directions: Left out of St. Mark's onto North Eagleville Road. Left at light onto Route 195. In 1.4 miles, turn right onto Route 44. Follow Route 44 about 10 miles to left onto Route 198 (North). Take Route 198 about 2 miles to Eastford center. Turn left onto Westford Road and continue 1.06 miles. Second right off Westford is Crystal Pond Road. Take Crystal Pond Road 1.29 miles to Buell's Orchard. Allow about 30 minutes for the approximate 16 mile trip.
