Meet in the parking lot of St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel, 46 North Eagleville Road, Storrs at 10:00AM. Some minor insurance forms will need to be completed. Departure will be at 10:30AM sharp. Rides will be provided, but if possible please contact us in advance if you need transportation. Wear casual clothes and bring a bathing suit and towel. Its all free and its a great day of fun. We will return by 4:30PM in Storrs.
What's involved!
This is a great day of fun, food and fellowship. Get ready for great picnic food prepared by the Barlow family and their church friends. After lunch the real action starts. Are you a swimmer? Then jump into the crystal clear Crystal Pond. You don't swim? Then walk into the crystal clear Crystal Pond. Looking for excitement? Then line up for tube rides behind the Barlow's powerful and fast motorboat. Want a little less excitement? Then climb into the motorboat and watch your friends try to survive their tube ride. After swimming and boating, relax with some music and singing. Share a song from your country and teach us some dance steps to help add to the day's enjoyment. Top everything off with dessert and then its time to go home.
Who's invited?
Any international student and their family. Worried that you have never attended an ICF event or don't know anyone? Don't worry, we will welcome you and make you feel like family. Everything is free so why not join us?
Have you just arrive in the U.S. and you feel uncomfortable? This is just the day for you. Meet new friends and have fun. Start your time in the U.S. with this special day.
